The heuristics that shape every system I ship chosen because they hold up under real load, real teams, and real timelines.
Boundaries before abstractions
Name the bounded contexts first. Abstractions earn their place by being used three times, not anticipated.
Observable, not just deployed
Every release ships with logs, traces and dashboards. Saturation and queue depth are tracked before latency.
Revocation is a first-class feature
Sessions, keys, permissions, deploys every grant has a fast, audited revoke path. Build for the worst day first.
Cost is an architectural concern
